global Win was established as one outcome of the participation of a EU funded research project within the waste sector. Matthias Kraner, Michael Huhn and Martin
Kessler first met during the project phase and lately finalized the project.
The project, called eWin, comprised of 8 partners from 5 different European countries with companies, universities and government bodies forming the consortium. It aimed on building a language
independent search platform for organizations dealing with waste throughout Europe and who were in need of fresh information such as literature, addresses and Internet links.
Following the finalization of eWin the former coordinators of the project came together again and continued working together until global Win was founded.
